There are several charities within Gibraltar that raise money for brilliant causes. One of these charities is Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Gibraltar. The branch was founded in 1983 and since then has raised over £250,000 for the vital research that the charity undertakes. The charity is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for all blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, therefore as much money as possible is needed in order for the charity to research efficiently.
The charity has held many successful events over the years in Gibraltar, with crowds of people participating and showing their support for the good cause! This May the charity is holding its annual Forget Me Not Walk, which is a five kilometre walk which takes you on a tour of the streets of Gibraltar. The walk is on the 21st May and you can register on the day at 9:30 am in Casemates Square! The Registration fee is £5 – money well spent!
So get your family and friends and put on your comfy walking shoes and be prepared to raise money for a very good cause! You may ache after the walk is complete so why not treat yourself to a well deserved and delicious meal at Pizza Hut!
